I hope we see a parallel in polling too. In '48 (When the NY Republican who lost the last Presidential election ran AGAIN) Telephone polling had Dewey STRONGLY AHEAD. But in '48 only the wealthier half of Americans had home phones.
Just as now only weirdos answer calls from unknown numbers.
Trying to make a little joke here, I think we all know FDR famously won the Presidency FOUR TIMES, once as he was actually dying.
Truman called out Dewey & the Republican 80th Congress's supposed enthusiasm for New Deal Expansion, giving them a session pass it so he could sign it. (They didn't)
Man, anyone remember when that New York Businessman ran against an incumbent Democrat both by promising to eliminate many (popular) Government programs and describing the poor health of current president? Anyone remember that?
Anyways, that's how Thomas E. Dewey beat a sickly FDR in '44.
It's INSANE how in the last 3 months Donald Trump and his goons have run a huge and obvious pump and dump scheme to grab money from ordinary people who trusted him and none of us think that this impacts his running for president at all.
And this is while the S and P general stocks are trending up.
This has lost 2/3 of its value from its peak at $80. There is no path to making money, it's only value is people go there for Trump's mean and dumb messages AND that is about to no longer be exclusive because of campaign outreach.
I don't fly the flag everyday. Not scheduled to have it up and down with the sun, etc....
But on Flag Day and The Army Birthday?
Let's see those stars and stripes!
What to make of the classes and training that take a human being and basically train them to become a Stepford Wife so they can "Marry a Millionaire"?
It seems more cruel to make a human into a programmed adoration-giving bot than to train people to live this way.
I read so much Jeff Rovin. How to Win at Nintendo, Ninja Turtles and Sinpsons Guides, I even read his Sci-Fi "Stealth War" when I noticed it was the same author I had read as a kid.
Too bad he fell down the rabbit hole.
I'm always taken aback by this passage in The Great Gatsby being 99 years old and sounding like it was written today. Same Great Replacement nonsense echoed today without any real changes.
