Weaponised trauma is trauma I categorically will never give a shit about. If you decide to use whatever happened to you as a cudgel for coercion, then I no longer have to care about what happened to you. I have tons of trauma so I have the right to see that for what it is: not symptoms, but a choice

This whole thread is worthwhile, but Kairi drills down to some of the more important questions here. It's easy to preen on behalf of victims whose stories you exploit and who you'll never check in on again--just another resource to burn through, one more disposable account.

One of the worst issues with these platforms is that there is simply no way to build brake lines into them. If a mob can sustain itself? If there's enough raw libidinal pleasure in keeping at it? It'll go on indefinitely, long past any sense of proportional justice. *Boredom* is the sole limit.

Anyway, which Civilisation VI national themes slap the hardest? For me it's got to be Russia and Japan's Atomic Era music; I often put them in my games just to have their themes come up in the music rotation.

Also, I want to assure anyone trying to earnestly parse the "Japanese people are white" nonsense Discourse on here: this is an absolutely terrible place to do it, nothing you say will have the right level of nuance, it's a minefield, you will say something offensive, and you shouldn't try. Not here.

Unfortunately, that's how a lot of Discourse shakes out on platforms like this. A lot of identities or terms that describe prejudice (-phobias, -isms) become mere synonyms for "person I dislike who is uncool." It's anti-politics.

It’s usually white people saying this kind of batshit thing too. Like, “white” doesn’t mean “person I find uncool”. It means white. Caucasian. Pasty ass European types.
