So a cop from out of town killed a homeless black man. That isn't murder?

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel confirms that a Columbus, Ohio, police officer detailed to the RNC shot and killed a homeless Black man (earlier reported to be in his early 20s) more than half a mile from the RNC arena. The man was known by the nickname Jehovah and took care of a pit bull named Isis.

Loan has been taken care of but now I might pretty soon have a vet bill to deal with.

They're moments when Daniel finds a kind, caring person to guide him through his uncertainty. I think a lot of queer folks know how the desire for that kind of mentorship feels. I certainly did in college when I first read it, and I would have given anything to have found it like Daniel did (3/4)

They're two very different scenes: Daniel the lion having his first gay sexual experience with his roommate Marcus and Daniel later talking with a priest about why his dad believes God hates gays. But to me, they're about the same thing: the feeling that to be gay is to be lost and scared (2/4)
