I can just barely see where one would arrive there with climate, if one took the "more gas/oil drilling has taken place under Biden" factoid and ignored absolutely everything else, but labor? Insanity.
The initial reporting on the railroad strike perhaps? But to think Trump was *better*, holy cow, that's when your hatred-of-all-dems has just turned your brain into mush.
The railroad strike feels like the largest divergence of reality in the left. I’ve seen people outright bash the rail union because they put out positive statements about how Biden handled things, accusing them of lying or being bought or covering up or some other garbage.
The Biden admin kept working in the background and got them the paid leave they had threatened to go on strike for. Again though, between the Dems' atrocious messaging at times and the press simply ignoring Biden wins, most Americans are completely unaware of this fact. *shrug emoji*
Most Americans, maybe.
But it blows my mind how these leftists use it as a cudgel, and then refuse to acknowledge they are wrong. They should be able to look this stuff up.
But he considers himself informed. I quote: "Some people simply choose to pay attention to material outcomes of policy rather than regime-approved talking points." *inspector Dreyfus eye twitch gif*
Could be that they’re thinking about the whole ethanol thing, where Trump killed the ethanol req for fuel bc it was Obama’s, then reinstated it after agribusiness threw a fit at losing subsidies and corn prices dropping.
Maybe they’re ignorant to think Trump single-handedly made ethanol happen?
Who knows. It's hard to beat post hoc ergo propter hoc reasoning. People like this are as uninformed as your average Facebook Trump voter about a] what he did and b] how government works, and just as adamant to see him lose the election. Something tells me he wasn't going to vote regardless.
It’s a kind of fascinating microcosm of a certain kind of low information voter, though. The thinking must be, “I don’t like Biden, so he can’t possibly have done anything I like.” But student debt isn’t on the list, so I feel like that might have actually got through.
I genuinely wonder what the relationship between terrible takes and not easily being able to search for quote posts on this site is. Because that had me itching to see what people have said in the quotes
