The Ornithocheirus felt round, bright and soft, a golden silhouette surrounded by cotton candy clouds. So I decided to do a mirror opposite under the same theme, a pointy Pteranodon under a dark, gloomy sky with unsettling colors and an almost mirrored composition.

Keeping Trump out of the White House isn’t the only thing that needs doing and it isn’t enough to solve all problems facing the country & world but if it isn’t done then all those problems get exponentially worse in ways I don’t even know how to express and it scares me when people pretend otherwise

Pointing again at my US Blue State Challenge. If you live in a "blue state", pick the red state you hate the most and the issue you care about the most and find a group in that state working on that issue and support them.

One thing I don’t understand is why, when people are outraged by some injustice or affront — like book bans — they don’t first look to see who is already tracking the issue, who’s already working on education + organization. “We need to do something!” People *are*. Find them. Help them.

I caught myself doomscrolling all morning so I just signed up to volunteer to try to help more young people register to vote. I figure since I live in a congressional swing district I might be able to make some small difference for my community. At least I can try! ☺️

Not sure I've ever posted this pair together: Urodus parvula moths make this gorgeous cocoon, and are handsome black creatures themselves. I found the unopened cocoon early last year, and the moth emerged some time later. It's such a cool creation. 🖤 🌿🧪🦋
