I feel this every time I read one of those community building posts. Where do you see disabled ppl? Do you see us?

I think it's interesting how many people's baseline definitions of community and how communities work don't include Disabled people. And how this is partly because Disabled people, for a lot of the time those definitions were being created, were literally removed from our communities.

People underestimate the impact of humidity. A NYC account on insta that was posting NYers videos of the heat and commenters were like “it’s only in the 80s” but the humidity was also in the 80s and the entire city felt like a fucking sauna. The impact of the air is not determined by temp alone.

Can anybody recommend a combat game for iOS (iPad) that is fun, not super gory, and not just a free demo that some shadow corporation uses to scrape your data? (This is for a 12 yr old)

c-paps don’t work for me 😭 but my apnea is very mild and not dangerous at least

Please for the love of god, if you think you might have apnea, *get a screening*. It will save your life. I almost fell asleep driving on the highway before I got diagnosed. I started having major blood pressure issues by the time I finally got in for a sleep study.

I really recommend getting screened for sleep apnea for people who struggle with fatigue, depression, and poor sleep in general, whether or not someone has mentioned snoring. Getting on CPAP can be life-changing. (Did I do this right was I supposed to do a pop culture thing)
