Trump isn’t the only threat to democracy. The entire GOP is a threat. Every Trump appointed judge is a threat. The danger is everywhere.

Yes, requests for non-fascists to "lower the temperature" is just a nicer way of putting the Heritage Foundation's statement that the revolution will remain bloodless if liberals allow it. It's a demand for acquiescence to the conditions of violence they created.

Seen a lot of comments like “hey Americans who support democracy, oppose political violence, and value truth, we have to take the temperature down,” and while well-intentioned, I don’t think it’ll work, because they’re not the ones raising the temperature.

Two months ago Greg Abbott pardoned a murderer who texted a friend "I might go to Dallas to shoot looters" then drove into a BLM protest in Austin and killed a protester. The universal response from conservatives to the pardon was "Yeah! Woo-hoo!" Now they say liberals should turn down the rhetoric

Heard this too. Just utter bullshit. Trump: “Any election I don’t win is rigged. Immigrants poison the blood of our country. We will root out the vermin.” Democrats: “He’s saying dangerous things.” CNN: “Both sides are responsible for the political climate in this country.”
