I would maybe like people to stop declaring Trump the winner of the election ahead of the fact because of this or that. Not sure that accomplishes anything. He's still a deranged fucking creepy weirdo, it's possible people don't want him back. Just please and thank you etc.

In any civilized society. But note I said “at some point.” At the point we’re deporting 3% of the population, killing tens of thousands, endorsing indiscriminate violence against protestors, well, sorry, Tucker Carlson, but war is hell.

There’s a whole subnormal subculture of people on here who are obsessed with running people off the site. The vast majority of the time they fail (as, one senses, they do at nearly everything in their lives). But they’re very happy when they succeed. /1

"The preliminary results upended widespread predictions of a clear victory for the National Rally," says the NYT just now. Wait, who made these predictions of a massive victory for the National Rally again? Oh yeah, these guys did:

The demands for a "blitz primary" aren't serious suggestions, they're designed to set the table for delegitimizing Kamala Harris if Biden were to step aside for her

It’s really reached the point for me where they can kick Biden to the curb or have Biden remain in but whatever the fuck this discourse amounts to is getting increasingly gross and weird and I’m not exactly sure what it’s supposed to be doing for anyone

It's a propaganda site. By going there you are absorbing propaganda chosen by an evil billionaire. Maybe you think you are a very special boy who, unlike other human beings, is immune to being influenced by propaganda so it's okay!

The only two permutations of this that work are: 1) Biden stays in 2) Biden steps aside for Harris but remains in office Everything other permutation of this idea is either a fantasy or propaganda whose discussion is designed to get the Dems to lose the election and usher Trump into power.

The reason pundits like the contested convention thing is that it plays to their vanities: what if the smart people made a meritocratic decision about who’s best? This is driven, in part, by being mostly isolated from negative reactions to their opinions over the years.

Vichy Twitter is a nazi website. Racists get elevated and privileged position and people who attack racists get suspended and banned. People should stop posting there!
And now twitter has locked the account of one of our co-authors who had the temerity to post about the article and reply respectfully to the hordes of racism defenders that swarmed her mentions

Every "senior official" who thinks "no one knows what he’s going to say" needs to resign. They are simply not fit to serve in their positions. It's Netanyahu. We know what he's going to say: whatever he thinks serves his short-term personal interests, which here is bashing Biden to help Trump.
"The White House has grown anxious about Benjamin Netanyahu’s upcoming address to a joint session of Congress, believing the Israeli prime minister could use the forum to criticize President Joe Biden for not supporting the retaliation against Hamas in Gaza enough."
‘No one knows what he’s going to say’ – WH fears mount about Bibi’s DC visitwww.politico.com The Israeli prime minister’s video this week, accusing the U.S. of withholding military aid, has raised the stakes (and the concerns) about his July 24 speech.

SCOTUS in Thomas Opinion: It is appropriate and traditional to slap babies in the supermarket. SCOTUS in Roberts Opinion two years later: It’s disappointing that you didn’t read carefully and recognize we didn’t mean all babies all the time, nor in all markets. Like not a bodega. Obviously.
