I want to dig into this, since my book VERY FINE PEOPLE comes out today, and it's in large part about precisely this sort of polemic trickery in service of bullshit apologia of supremacy. There's a sleight of hand at the start that catapults us into a massive lie.

My book, VERY FINE PEOPLE, releases on Tuesday, and yesterday I got to spend some very enjoyable hours at my local book dealer, signing copies. Some Revisionaries fans asked me to draw cartoon cats. One person asked me to draw a pterodactyl.

Just discovered that Rowan Atkinson played a villain in the Tim Chalamet Wonka movie named Father Julius and this is very funny to me for reasons that will be obvious if you read my novel “The Revisionaries.”

Yes it’s hard not to check this sort of thing obsessively but hey-o even if temporary this is pretty cool and thanks to those who helped do it.

Lesson #5 of a war-oriented society: Any killing we do, not matter how indefensible it is, can only ever be self-defense. Anyone who suffers and dies is a victim not of us but of those who threaten or harm us, or even a victim of themselves.

Sometimes a story comes along that makes so much sense it feels as though you knew it all along.

It's possible these guys are not motivated by a desire to quash antisemitism or protect Jewish lives.

The post before this was both-sidesing Gaza & police brutality, and the one after it was Islamaphobia, but I gotta say, if you want to make a literate person laugh, condescendingly compare yourself to Don Quixote as ... the person who sees things as they truly are though nobody else does.

I didn’t appreciate it in 2001 when my opposition to retributive violence in response to terrorist violence was dishonestly equated to allyship with the terrorists, and I don’t appreciate it anymore more now than I did then. Wrote this last year on the anniversary of 9/11 and I’m really feeling it.

For example, let's talk about the white supremacist Senator from the state of Arkansas. The way I'd describe this guy is he's long and thin like an unpainted pencil, and is not so much pale as paleness; he looks like something that was extruded to be put inside a sausage casing.

Sitting Senator publicly incites others to engage in politicized murder of civilians.

Some see the banality of evil, and ask “why?” I look at it and ask, “why not?”

Interesting way to confirm that we live in a culture of abuse.

So this Nazi message happens to also be profoundly misguided(it’s the Gozanga basketball team) but even if the buses were full of immigrants it would still be a Nazi message that is also a fully mainstream Republican talking point.
