I would think that the wholesale repudiation by his party of Reagan/Bush foreign policy would concern him more, even as he (wrongly) believes that the deep state will somehow head off an administration bent on rooting his kind out.

Half the philosophers Ganz cites are ones whom, to put it mildly, he finds questionable. He happens to think that, for better or worse, intellectuals matter (which is debatable! I suspect that if Rothbard had never lived, the social forces that created him would have found some other vehicle)

Rick Santorum was crying about this over a decade ago. Apparently if someone can make money off of something, it's wrong for the govt to provide it for free.

The thing is, there's no way to distinguish in advance between a full-blown Hitler and a mere Franco; Hitler didn't campaign on death camps. That's why you can't vote for anyone who even sounds like that, and why the Holocaust that might ensue is absolutely your fault if you do.

It's good. The things I don't like -- we've all heard about the cases of dog-piling of late -- are probably endemic to social media.

Not that anything matters, but J.D. Vance's domestic situation growing up -- raised not wealthy but secure by grandparents -- was almost identical to that of Barack Obama.
