Here at Boeing we value customers. Especially in relation how much lawsuits say their lives are worth.

it's unfair that we force Boeing to go to the trouble of having to build these planes that fall apart instead of just giving them money to do nothing, which is what the executives and shareholders would much rather do instead of having to pay for production, workers, all this 'aerospace' stuff

Just give them money w/o the planes would result in fewer deaths, that's for sure

modern companies and their investors more and more would much rather simply be able to raid bank accounts than perform any sort of useful service or produce any decent products

You're basically talking about most of the modern financial industry.

Especially not testing. Nobody needs testing.

What I like about Boeing is their open door policy.

Actuaries have several years of credentialing and ongoing education requirements. Risk management for manufacturing is done by engineers who have finished a one week course.

I don't think the engineers are working on the lawsuits

You summarize that very accurately! The shocking part of this, though, is that the NYT (the headline appeared in a Jan 2024 article) thinks this is a rational, humane, way for Boeing to run their business. They are as sick as Boeing management.

I don’t fly anymore primarily because of this stuff. I’d love to take the train, but that’s not viable for most places.
