The students at my school did this. They negotiated for it, they got it, and they're disbanding their encampment now that they're done. Not one arrest. No police. The first campus in the UC system to do it.

Very much valuing the slow, careful, take-your-time kind of thinking lately - not as euphemism for the gatekeeping “rigors” of old school methods, but as counter to the perpetual flash thinking, hot take, content machine that we live. As what it means to study, to be in process.

I don’t know what they’re complaining about. “As of my last knowledge update…” is one of the greatest academic paper openers of all time.

SSRN is one of the largest open-access repositories of scholarly articles, mostly social sciences and law. It's owned by Elsevier, an evil company which is in turn owned by a hedge fund. 17 papers on SSRN contain the phrase "as of my last knowledge update" indicating they're regurgitated AI.
