This is a picture of a newly discovered pool never seen before by human eyes 700 ft deep in Lechuguilla Cave a part of Carlsbad National Park here in New Mexico
Lechuguilla Cave lies beneath a park wilderness area adjacent to Bureau of Land Management land where oil and gas drilling could leak gas or fluids into it's passages, killing cave life, destroying the fragile ecosystem, and threatening the safety of people inside.

so cool! I wish I could tell the scale. it seems pretty small to me, but maybe that's because it looks like gelato so i'm imagining it as 'tub of gelato' sized.
