Is the newer formula for the XBB variants now available? We were forced to get mRNA for XBB end of Oct because the new Novavax wasn't available yet. (I'm immune compromised due to medication so perhaps my springtime shot can be Novavax!)
Yes, current Novavax is an updated version, different from the one last year. It WAS late in getting approval this year compared to the mRNA vaccines. Hopefully that won't be the case next year at all.
It's extremely rare to find someone who takes the pandemic seriously here in the states either.

In the week leading up to NYE I had 7 friends with Covid. It's not over. (UK rates were 1/20 infected, 1/16 for London)
And it's bizarre because I can get a flu vaccine but not a covid one ... But there's no 'long flu' π€―
Yeah it never really left just mutated into different variants of covid from what I understand.
It's just that officials in the states pretend that it's over because of the economic disaster that was the 2020 lockdowns. Rather than addressing any of the problems noted by the lockdown that is.
Quite the pickle isn't it? But that's "our problem" rather than a business problem. They'll just state nobody wants to work like before.
We had mass layoffs in the states for already low-paying jobs when the lockdowns hit. Corporations weren't going to continue paying people during a lockdown.
Jealous! I went with Pfizer for my most recent shot (number 6? No idea anymore) because I was getting real antsy and no one had Novavax yet. Next time for sure!
Yup Iβve lost count, itβs 5 or 6. And one known infection, in large part due to confusing info as to whether or not I could get another round last summer (6 months since previous shot)
