Winter half-marathon time y’all. I am doing a smallish run in which people can enter different distances (5K, 10K, half-marathon, marathon). How small is the half? Well, ponder my bib number:
I know you were all waiting to hear how it turned out—here ya go. My sweaty snotty mug right after finishing, and the course map I ran. It was a one-mile loop so those of us doing the half got to do 13 of those. It was fast and flat and kinda chaotic and fun as hell
I never swam competitively or trained for it as a kid, but I took a couple classes in my twenties so I could use it as cross-training, and I have enough endurance from running to swim a bit. Also fuck you Apple Watch; I am calling 1600 meters a mile!
