I sometimes want to join a conversation about the difficulties of find hats in my band size, but when a bunch of guys talk about the difficulties they deal with getting hats in the 7 5/8 to 7 3/4 size, I feel like bringing up the pain of finding 8 1/4 band hats is misery poker.
Nothing gets me as weirdly depressed as discussion of hat sizes.

Sadly, I suspect many pundits are paid specifically to be wrong.
I don’t make much of a living, but I’m far more accurate than many who are highly paid in the field. This fact depresses me constantly.

What this article leaves out is that if you hand your unlocked phone to a police officer, they can legally search it. Unless companies develop a method that allows you to show officers insurance cards and driver license without unlocking the rest of your phone, don't. www.zdnet.com/article/digi...

I am here to once again declare that John Cena should star in an Ernest legacy sequel where he plays Ernest P. Worrell's improbably jacked son (it is never explained in any way why he is jacked)

Is there any lesson to be taken from the French moderate liberal and left earnestly trying to cooperate and help one another defeat a reactionary threat to democracy? Yes there is, until anyone one degree off from my personal political leanings pisses me off over anything, and I mean anything.

Will stuffing jalapeños with Bleu cheese and brining them in pickle juice be awful or amazing? Guess I'm going to find out.

I hate that my body has to spend an entire day recovering from being active now. Being middle-aged is unfair.

I'm convinced that everyone, no matter how refined their tastes, has at least one garbage food that they love even as they know how awful it is. My big one is tacos and burritos from Taco Bell, with Fire or Diablo sauce. They are absolutely terrible, and I will demolish a half dozen without remorse.
I got some of those bad sugar cookies from the store because I was craving them. (You know the ones, they’re soft and pale like they aren’t even baked and have the sickeningly sweet pink frosting and sprinkles). They are objectively not good but sometimes I have a mighty need.

I don't know why I thought it'd be a great idea to order exceptionally spicy food when I'm operating on almost no food. It's always a recipe for heartburn.

It also makes me feel insane that the rat fuck around Biden’s age and mental capacity is being uncritically spread around by Democrats when Trump is *incredibly obviously* grotesquely mentally incapacitated, in a way that is genuinely terrifying.
It makes me feel very much unmoored from reality to see all this *buying into* the Biden Too Old ratfuck narrative, days after the Supreme Court ruled that Trump gets to be dictator for life, just weeks after Trump became a convicted felon (oh, and there’s the Epstein stuff that just came out).

Why I Don't Vote (OK, I Do Vote, but I Would Like to Discourage You, NY Times Reader, For Doing So For Some Reason) Via @bubbaprog.ilovecitr.us
Man, if it turns out that the right winger telling NY Times readers that they should follow his example and not vote did in fact vote in the last two elections, the Times should add this to the piece. Better than a retraction, since it illustrates a willful hypocrisy.

good morning my community, A word of advice. You may be struggling with your feelings of shock with the Neil Gaiman allegations. Now is the time to process that conflict silently, in your own heart—not on the timeline where other survivors have to watch you struggle to believe. Okay.

I am now thoroughly in the "the press likes fascism bc it's good copy" camp and I challenge @nyt.bsky.social and @washingtonpost.com to prove me wrong
So, like, the press remembers Trump is a rapist and 34 count felon right?
