Apparently bluesky doesn't like underscores?

Some great people work in other parts of the paper, and in the editorial section I like some columnists (tho they're not on the editorial board, so maybe moot), but the NYT politics desk has fervently and with complete consistency worked to elect Republicans the 30+ years I've been paying attention.

The NYT spent a full year campaigning for the destruction of Hillary Clinton over her emails, including the infamous front cover three days before the election that was entirely "Hillary Is A Crook". Nothing - least of all their own reporting - could convince them to stop. I fear this is the same.

Aside from 1) the logistical problem (campaign apparatus and money are transferrable to Harris, and no-one else); 2) the narrative impossibility of rejecting Biden *and* his veep; and 3) the betrayal and division it would involve, what gets me is: people proposing folks with no national reputation.

I agree that the Dark Side's deal was pretty unclear (though entirely too often they are enthusiastic for mass murder) but on the Jedi I remember finding the prosecution case in this convincing.

This was something of a masks-off moment.

Okay, seriously WTF is going on here?

I think the answer is clear and the time has come.

I'm not on any particularly interesting lists -- a couple of weird people bizarrely slandering me ("friends of Chauvin"???), one of whom added me to four increasingly strange lists in succession -- but this was amusing, just as a juxtaposition.

I've seen tomorrow's NYT front page (international edition), and it's time to update the kitten meme again.
With new reporting out today saying that New York Times publisher AG Sulzberger is encouraging his writers to attack Biden over his age until Biden gives a long interview to his newspaper, it's time to update the kitten meme.

It's the only logical choice.

The answer is simple and it's time everyone got on board.

Or maybe, more accurately, this is the right pick.

Amusing juxtaposition really.

A trip to translate.google.com confirmed my suspicion that "cotorrito" translates to "parrot", but when I first just Googled "cotorrito" this was the top result.

This was a Tesla ad when it was low-polygon vaporware, not low-polygon reality. OK "pull near infinite mass" is vague (it's not hyphenated, so you're pulling nearby to infinite mass, and everything constantly very weakly pulls on near-infinite mass, that's called gravity) but you'd need tow points?

I'm definitely the sheep goose with geoduck wings.

If only Florida hadn't spent all its money trolling people by shipping asylum seekers from Texas to blue states, it could afford a little culture. www.miamiherald.com/news/politic...

A stripper, you say? Sounds clearly military to me.

I can apparently still find the pin!

You'd think so, but the Constitution says whatever these six schmucks say it does.

Spotted yesterday, abandoned on the street. Remember, folks: a teddy bear isn't just for Flag Day, it's for life.

Here's the thread, it's still up. It's complete bullshit, and he's literally saying the only principled position is to faithfully amplify bullshit propaganda, anyone who *doesn't* is the dishonest one.
