I am not kidding when I say that Romancing the Vote has out-organized and done more to materially improve conditions in the southeastern US than any explicitly leftist org. Romancelandia ain't here to fuck around.

Bree says: we also have some very high value items where another will be offered to the runner-ups if they match the highest bid. Last year we pulled in $20k on that alone. This year we're MUCH more organized about it. 💗

I'm trying something different with my latest WIP in shifting my style of writing narrative. I'm hoping it's successful. I'm trying for a more noir style with inner monologue, more descriptions, and atmospheric tone. But it's really different from my normal...everything. I write very dialogue-heavy.

Kids just getting started trying to be independent artists will never experience or understand what a real "grass roots" support network on Twitter or whatever can be like. I've mentioned this before but early Kickstarters I ran? 1/3rd of the funding was from Twitter.

It's so frustrating. Promo and networking in a lot of ways feels like I'm completely starting over. Most sites were never very useful, even if you paid for promo *coughs* Facebook *coughs* but Twitter used to be effective for networking and promo. Here, I kind of feel guilty using hashtag feeds.

Hey, so. I understand that this is anecdotal and not research, but. It is WILD how useless social media has become for promo. It's a fucking disgrace, really.

I go in for a routine rheumatology appointment on Monday, and I'm glad they're still masking.

Went to a clinic today for a routine medical thing and was once again amazed by the number of people who are happy to hang out and just freely breathe in all the air juice inside the germ emporium

Seriously, I’m half Biden’s age and I decided when I was 35 that I wouldn’t be going to things that started after 8 pm. The morning people are cranky and the staff are exhausted. And I’m a night owl who works second shift by preference and for the good of my clients.

Trump’s public schedule showed that on most days, he worked (“worked”), like three hours a day. And this isn’t even a “Biden can’t work late at night” issue. It’s a Biden is pulling back on SCHEDULED EVENTS that start after 8pm, which is actually a good idea for most people.

It always makes me laugh when it's just some random person with a little experience in "Computers" and they're getting into a top secret site in a few seconds. Then, oh no, alerts start going off--actual flashing lights, but it's not problem because they sent a virus.

I personally love how nearly every Hollywood version of hacking is: someone grabs a keyboard, types furiously, then announces, “I’m in!”

Nothing is stopping every single Democratic elected official and apparatchik from taking the airwaves every single day to articulately and decisively repeat a set of cogent talking points about Trump (ie 45). Nothing. Dem PACs could be slamming him with ads now. Stop whining and do that.

💗 money for voting is the endgame, but keeping people feeling encouraged & hopeful enough to fight is the victory.

In some alternate reality, I didn't have the chaotic fun giddiness of this to cheer me up this week, and that leads me to think that maybe we're not on the absolute worst timeline.

Library funding is almost always justified through patron numbers. The more people a library serves, the more funding it gets. So even if you don't regularly use a public library, get a library card. It costs you nothing and helps everyone in your community.
