Surely nobody can blame you for that

I don't *hate* it, but (1) it's formatting leaves something to be desired (kind of to be expected all things considering it's free), and (2) it won't integrate with Sharepoint and the multi-user simultaneous editing function that I need to have despite detesting the practice with my entire soul.

Microsoft is a psyop
Avatar
Honestly, we're just lucky that Microsoft didn't program it to literally stab you every time you try to change a default.

Avatar
I have done this SO many times.

I kind of hate docs, to be honest. It feels too much like a Fisher-Price word processor

MS Word will *not* stop resetting my default font to Aptos (I guess at least it's not Calibri...) and I am about 5 minutes away from making the whole org switch to WordPerfect.

While true, it's hardly a unique identifying characteristic. ::gestures at like...most political scandals::

It's a damn good thing that I have the Internet to remind me that life is just one giant cosmic joke

The only people who should not be left alone are the people on HOA boards.

I feel like the timing of this is....not coincidental

I'm right here.

Yea that one-way street bullshit is not it

Second bullet point: in shorter Zoom meetings, it's even more important that you ask yourself "should I shut the fuck up now"
Avatar
(the answer is almost certainly yes)

That does not strike me as wrong

And I will readily admit that there are a lot of such people, and they don't subscribe to a pure ideology of "leave me the fuck alone" that I tend towards.

I always find this discourse amusing, confusing, and somewhat depressing. I've always maintained that libertarianism (at least as pertains to my own "classification") is effectively just more pragmatic anarchism (before anyone jumps down my throat, I recognize there are important distinctions).
Avatar
That's a hard disagree from me
Avatar
Probably more likely to get something plausibly profound from the LSD + Ouija board.

In retaliation, I propose banning Tim Hortons and maple syrup in airports.
Avatar
It's a yikes from me that you think it's "yikes" to want to have a couple beers in an airport lounge during a massive delay.
Avatar
On planes, I wouldn't complain too much, since I am like a baby in a car and pass out before I can finish more than one. But don't take away the only thing that makes waiting out an 8 hour delay in the airport manageable.

"Writing a script that does bad things is jailbreaking the programming language!"

Dude has obviously not been shoving enough jade eggs up his ass.
Avatar
Also it should be considered a violation of journalistic ethics to use the phrase "catastrophic diarrhea" in a headline that does not also include "[x number of people] feared dead"
Avatar
I would rather not

You could not convince me that there isn't at least one incident of a lawyer in a trademark case threatening to take a piss/dump on opposing counsel. I can almost *guarantee* that exact fact pattern is out there.
