At the risk of stating the obvious this is mission accomplished for the GOP. Sure they'd prefer to control all branches of govt and do a bunch more horrible shit but the current situation where they just stand back and let scotus wreck the country for them is just how they drew it up
We knew going in that House Republicans would make the 118th Congress a clown show, and wow did they deliver. Number of bills passed by Congress, past 20 years: 109th 482 110th 460 111th 383 112th 283 113th 296 114th 329 115th 442 116th 344 117th 362 118th 65

Selling stolen Palestinian land in the West Bank to settlers in the United States while Israel is committing an unconscionable genocide is certainly a choice that some people can choose to make. I personally believe that is a choice that deserves to be ridiculed and condemned as truly evil shit.

Contrast with their speed in the colorado case. The justices are helping trump because they want him to win. bsky.app/profile/djla...
It remains astonishing that SCOTUS waited weeks to even announce they were taking on the presidential immunity case and now we stand on the eve of the last scheduled day of decisions and they still haven't released it -- all but guaranteeing Trump will not face a federal jury before the election.

It's the most NY politics thing ever that the state is losing $1B a year, passing a payroll tax that hits millions and sending the subway into a death spiral because 20,000 dipshit cops who don't even live in the city are mad they might have to pay a $15 toll to park their cars on our sidewalks.

I do get a bit annoyed when people bring up The Constitution because The Constitution isn't even real or binding. I'm not saying that because I decided it is so, I say that because I've seen hundreds & there are thousands of instances where people's constitutional rights mean fuckshit to the state.

It's basically, like most other things, just a system of control. Another mind game to get you to fall in line and conform. A false sense of security at best.
