The keep assuming that when you lose, the thing to do is change course, since what you're doing isn't working; i.e. Republicans would choose to ditch Trump/MAGA since it didn't work. "It should be illegal not to like me" is the thought process of a four year old and the animating force of the entire conservative movement.

The funny thing is in certain circumstances they love it when people hate them, when they assume the people hating them are a weak minority that can’t disrupt their goals. They become unmoored when the number turns out to be way higher than they expected.

I’ve come to the conclusion that if Biden stays in he needs to be omnipresent in the media from here to Election Day. Even if he’s flubbing lines every day. Because if he’s doing it everyday it stops being the story, it just becomes part of the landscape, the focus moves to other things.

If there’s any lesson to be learned from Trump it’s to just plow forward. The reason nothing sticks to him (in a career killing way) is because he just keeps going. The most important thing is to never go away.
