Hello everyone, class of 2000, checking in. Unless you were there, you have no fucking idea how homophobic high school was back then. Violence in the open, often with teachers and administrators having the attitude of "what did they expect?" This is a very hard thing to have done in 1999.

Bernie's case for Biden in the Chotiner piece is simple, and I suspect honest. "He's good on policy, we'll figure out a way to drag him to re-election, and if he has to quit in 2026 or 2027, so be it." It's not an argument I find compelling, but it's straightforward. No 3-D chess here.
