Free political advice: whenever you want to make reference to a diner, say McDonald's instead. It's a more common eatery more normal people go to. Anyone who says diner after that will look like a chump.

The political fixation on people in diners is really odd. It's supposed to be a stand-in for a run of the mill person. How many people are going to diners multiple times a week at this point? I'm not sure that many people ever really did, given that people ate more meals at home in the past.
