So many of us eeking out existence as best we can around symptoms, in a culture that keeps devaluing our work and our lives and gutting the benefit system, and I'm meant to be GRATEFUL that our work is being stolen and fed into a water/power-guzzling grinder so tech bros can pretend to be artists!?

It particularly drives me mad when they claim AI allows disabled people into the industry...a large % of the arts industry (like me) ARE disabled, and work as freelance creatives in large part because we aren't accommodated in 'regular' work environments. AI is taking away our only available income.

Well, I’ve done my last sale on Etsy. I was selling books for my local guild and was going to relist the ones that hadn’t sold but nope.

Etsy hasn’t cared about real artists and crafters for a long time now, so this isn’t surprising. But it’s still despicable they want to continue this direction.
