It’s really great that large male cops think that brutalizing women half their size is somehow public service.

the Supreme Court has ruled time and again (for decades now) that the job of police officers is not to "serve" the public in any capacity. The most irritating thing (to me) is despite the constant legal reaffirming that they exist to be thugs for the state, people still boot lick and deny reality.

Don’t have to serve or protect, they don’t solve or prevent crimes…

In my neck of the woods it's a three year degree (of which one year is on-the-job training).

Similar in Sweden. Three years equivalent of BA degree, plus field assessment. And to be honest we're still not always doing great when it comes to police behaviour towards the public. When you see them it's best to stay out of the way. There's something about the job attracting paranoid fuckers.

It's one of the few jobs where all you need is a high school diploma.

Always be careful around cops because they can cripple or kill you on camera and are quite likely to suffer zero consequences. Stay 30 or so feet away from them if you're able and approach closer only in very serious circumstances. If they approach you, move away.
