Random Q: do you know how frequently the zones get updated?

In the last update, a full HALF of the US changed to a warmer zone. Seems sustainable.

I’ve successfully grown this lovely morning glory vine from seed, and trained it to climb a defunct clothesline pole, and I’m very proud of it.

Thanks! I have an enormous garden. I have no pics of most of it from this year. Been too sick. But those ones are new. I'll definitely be posting more. :)

I don't really garden, am mostly trying to encourage native plants, but these tulips came with the house. Also pictured is a willow tree on the left I had planted. It makes me happy to look at it. You can't really see it but there's a little stream next to it, is why I put it there.

I can’t have swiss chard. The squirrels eat it all. :/

Don’t plant it in the ground or it might go nuts on you 🫣
Avatar
If I ever have ground of my own, I want it to go nuts there. I grew up picking these suckers, and it's one of my few uncomplicatedly happy childhood memories.

Well I can tell you it grows VERY WELL in Z5

Idk what zone I'm in, but I could be at Knott's Berry Farm in half an hour if I wanted, so I suspect I'm fine.

Here's one of our irises and a volunteer columbine from last week. You can find lots more on the #Gardening feed.

Mine in Seattle are still skeptical of the rain, but we're getting some warm weather starting Wednesday and I bet we'll have some blooming by next weekend! Can't wait for my favorite "weed" to get going!
Avatar
I live in the high desert and these suckers grow furiously all winter and are so big by spring that as soon as it warms up over 40 they are blooming!

It’s all wintry and sad at the moment. This is what it looks like at its best

It's been a while since I've done a garden review thread so pull up your dusty jeans, kick off your flipflops, grab a good drink and let's go ... The Overview. We have 17 raised beds in sizes from 4'x4' to 4x10 to 6 x 10, etc. Started with one. Many moons ago. 🌱
