Professor Lictman, who has called every election since 1982, disagrees with the Biden must go rhetoric. He thinks replacing Biden would be a huge mistake, FWIW, I think he’s correct but then again I pay attention to history.

Why is the pundit class so desperate to push Biden out of the race? | Rebecca Solnitt.co Yes, Biden had a bad debate – but so did Trump. The media is once again repeating the mistakes of 2016

So many candidates, bowing out in a selfless move in order to save democracy in France. This is amazing!
This is so encouraging, and also a credit to every single politician who dropped out of the runoff so their votes could go to the second-place non-fascist candidate

So a thing about AI is that, not understanding the material itself, it cannot understand what the gap is in someone else’s understanding. Students already have access to materials that will repeat important points over and over. They don’t need more.

This is what Republicans are offering America: hungry people, homeless people who get arrested because they have no place to sleep, and environment that is polluted because they won’t allow the experts to regulate industries that pollute. Vote Blue no matter who!
The governors of a dozen Republican-led states — AL, AK, FL, GA, IA, MS, OK, SC, SD, TX, UT, WY — opted out of a new federal food assistance program, leaving about 9.5 million students without the aid this summer

Polls closed in France. Exit polls show a big surprise: —Left coalition (New Popular Front) projected first. (!) —Far-right (RN) has lost its bid to take power. Anti-RN front appears to have worked very well. —No bloc close to majority. Pollsters were wrong!

Folks, they want you to feel hopeless. They want it to feel absolutely inevitable that we will lose in order to undermine our will. They’re trying to make us feel like fighting is pointless. Because that’s the only way they can win. When we fight, they lose. Don’t give them what they want. FIGHT!

It isn’t going to matter who the Democrats nominate there is just too much invested in screaming & attacking Democrats regardless of who the candidate is for anything to change. They will do this to Harris, to Buttigieg, to whom we nominate.
Perspective: LBJ withdrew his nom. on March 31st (3+ months ahead of Biden’s potential timetable), following lousy polls & screams from media & pundits, the resulting turmoil, including a contentious convention in CHICAGO, saw VP Humphrey loosing to Nixon.

Man, if it turns out that the right winger telling NY Times readers that they should follow his example and not vote did in fact vote in the last two elections, the Times should add this to the piece. Better than a retraction, since it illustrates a willful hypocrisy.
He voted in both 2020 and 2022.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but, President Biden is leading in fundraising. Biden is leading in campaign infrastructure/ground game. The polls are within the margin of error. All you have to do is vote & get like minded, supporters of democracy, to do the same. That's it. Just vote.

There was an even bigger difference in the comments received. All on Threads and all but one here were positive, constructive, or neutral (one person was just being a jerk, not a troll). Only 18% on X were positive or neutral. The rest were negative, many highly so.
