It seems to me the NYT (and WH Press for that matter) should have cross-referenced the dates of Dr. Cannard’s visits w/ the president’s schedule. On the second of the supposed 8 dates, 8/25/23, Biden wasn’t at the WH for any of that day. He was at Tom Steyer’s place in Tahoe that whole week.

Or maybe just read the report from Biden's physical where it explained that movement disorder specialists exactly like Dr. Cannard were added to Biden's team in 2021? They literally link this report in the story ... and then never bothered to read it beyond searching for the word "Parkinsons."

There's an even more likely explanation: The gait disorder for which, the linked physical report EXPLAINS CLEARLY, Dr. O'Connor added a movement disorder neurologist to Biden's team in 2021.

NYT DID great reporting on Trump's autocratic plans, while whitewashing that he did many of those same things in the past. But NYT has been silent about Trump's attempt to distance himself from Project 2025.

Well, now you get to the issue of defiance. Because 80% of journalists are saying that, and Biden is thus far listening to the 85% of Democrats who said he should be the candidate rather than the 80% of often wrong pundits. Again, this is an issue of agency.

Keeping this for posterity bc it is nutty that journalists are now absolving themselves of the choice to ignore political violence by adopting the passive voice. "Biden's age" has agency, journalists and their editors do not.

Some REALLY WEIRD agency going on there, Dave. "Biden's age" is not writing the political columns. Reporters with autonomy (or editors) are. Pack punditry has decided political violence is less important than one of two candidates' age.

I think you misunderstand. Most people end up dealing with a stubborn elderly relative. Calling them "Defiant" suggests they are not their own autonomous people, which they are. More importantly, the media is not supposed to be the Daddys of politicians, voters are.

Reid Epstein doesn't bother to mention Project 2025, which other outlets have been reporting on all weekend and which NYT had once led on. Because Epstein is the one choosing to ignore fascism. Not Biden and not even NYT's competitors.
