Classic American political dialogue is premised on the idea that we share fundamental values but disagree on how best to promote them. I haven’t believed this for a while. Other than “I prefer to be alive and not dead” and “I like pudding,” I do not share values with these people.

Yep. One of the biggest blind spots people have is assuming that underneath, others share the same basic values as them. They have trouble imagining an ideology that is completely misaligned with theirs.

Under today’s immunity decision, Biden could order AG Garland to immediately prosecute Thomas and Alito for corruption and insurrection. (Official act). If Garland refuses, Biden can fire him and replace him with someone who will. (Official act) I would suggest Elie Mystal.

There are two elements to the immunity decision that are particularly extreme in a way that many will miss: (1) motive is irrelevant and (2) immune acts are not just excluded from prosecution, they’re excluded from evidence. /1

Since SCOTUS has made us into a monarchy I suggest that Biden should now, for the good of the country, declare the Federalist Society to be a terrorist organization and have every single member and sympathizer thrown into jail, starting with members of the judiciary.

It's important to understand that you CANNOT lump all religions together into one big whole, which is where many militant Capital A Atheists get in trouble. They tend to see all religion as Christianity. And it's NOT. So much Atheism is just informed by Christianity and it results in bigotry.

Most folks don't even know many Jews are atheists and we center our religious beliefs around cultural traditions and keeping the practices of our ancestors alive in the face of oppressors and those who would erase our existence If you want to get rid of all religion you're on team "erase the Jews"

My point is that many "all religions are bad" folks couldn't tell you a thing about any religion other then Christianity. They just assume all religions are the same, they are all like Christianity. Their Atheism is informed only by Christianity and so they are inadvertently Christian supremacists.
