When writing a prompt for an ai image generator becomes so much of a bother that people reaort to using chatgpt to write prompts, you know we're living in satire world.
Depends on the language.
There are languages where it literally just makes shit up.
I couldn't get it to code a very simple Pong NES game, for example.
It's really bad at LSL used in Second Life.
I think I like it because it evokes two ideas: that the horse is the one doing the real work and that there are the vibes of the douche culture of shock jocks.
I've even seen some ai bros whining about other ai bros "stealing prompts." I'm not kidding.
How do these people survive without punching themselves in the face?
also, to double down in the way you know me best for: "prompt engineering" is just chud-speak for getting around the issues LLMs have. like, GPT-3 should just be able to do math, why should i have to tell it it's a "brilliant mathematician who can solve any problem?" it's complete bullshit
Essentially it has - those shitty AI Wes Anderson "parodies" on YouTube exist because some guy asked ChatGPT for viral video ideas and that was one of the suggestions it barfed out.
Most AI image generators do this anyway. Rarely is the prompt used as-is in DALL-E etc., it's typically dressed-up with additional language to form a hidden middle prompt.
Example: ask for a "dolphin riding a bicycle" it may add "cartoon style, strong outline, realistic colors" etc.
AI programs don't create art from thin air. They create art from the tens of thousands of images they were "trained" on: images created by actual artists, mostly without the artists' permission.
How can you accuse someone of theft when your entire work was created by stealing from thousands?
Yes, I'm aware, but many of the AI fanboys literally aren't.
They think that AIs being "trained" by being fed artwork to mix up and regurgitate is no different from being taught or inspired by another artist's work.
I'm not an AI fanboy, I am a tech fanboy that has little to do with art at all.
What I can tell you is that AI does not regurgitate images like that. That's technically possible but not what is done. It is in fact closer to being inspired by something but also not the same.
AI is much more
