It’s a very obscure question but I did some research and it turns out that the president who led us out of the Depression and kicked Hitler’s ass was actually in a wheelchair? Who knew?

Kevin, I am not a historian, so IDK, but has there ever been a President in American History who used a mobility aid? And, if so, would you say this president who was so weak as to need, say, braces or a wheelchair, is considered to be one of the top President’s ever?

Biden v Trump is a pretty direct ageism thing. Trump is aging worse than Biden, but due to vanity and aging in different ways Trump codes as less old and therefore gets way less shit for it.

I wonder how many 80-year-olds are witnessing this and thinking their kids will absolutely send them to the glue factory the second they have a bad day.

There are good polls and bad polls but I don’t see how any pollster relying on phone calls is able to provide a representative sample with these kinds of numbers. It’s not a criticism of any one pollster, just an unfortunate reality.

If Biden wins it’s going to be funny watching GOP continue to fight tooth and nail to protect presidential supremacy and avoid voting for legislation to rein it in.

Could a president faced with a congress controlled by the opposition party simply prevent a few members of congress from showing up for votes? Like just fuck up sessions and schedules so they can never do any business.

So based on decisions from just this week, the President, as long has he has the gloss of officialdom, can basically do anything without legal restraint, whereas the President, acting via duly appointed agencies authorized by Congress, is more restrained than ever? What a coherent jurisprudence!
