For everyone - a useful reminder that staying hydrated can just mean keeping an eye on your pee color. It is *hot* out there, so stay safe and make sure to drink water when you need it.

That's a lot of water. For a non-medicated person, I drink 1-1.5L/day of just water, plus probably another half liter and a bit of teas/milk over the day plus whatever water is in my food, e.g. soups. Which usually keeps me hydrated enough, but I do use the eyeball-urine-color guesstimation.

Mmmmmm frozen dumpling stock coming in clutch yet again tonight. Went with pork ones tonight with garlic sesame snap peas thanks to CSA box. Yup quick, used not too much energy/ heat of the stove, & very yummy. The trick really is having good dipping sauces, went with homemade simple & chili crisp.

It is that time of year again when my camera roll is mostly pictures of flowers. Today more of the dahlias were opening up, they seem to be loving the heat. Also some of the roses were exploding with color. Oh and happy surprise that the big white pincushion did make it back with lots of blooms. 🌱

Man watching the speed trail stage of the Tour de France aka peddle peddle, it is just wild how fast they are. It is just so awe inspiring! If you have peacock I highly recommend checking out the stage highlights, you get the important stuff in like 30min which is perfect.

i just saw a "Native Art" map of Canada (many likes) that was obviously a white person's attempt at formline, a visual language & family of art styles exclusive to Indigenous nations of the NORTHWEST COAST. Looked up artist: sure enough, white lady Fellow settlers, please stop doing this.

OMG I’m about to kill next door’s lawn crew, they started at 8 with weed whackers & leaf blowers… like come on it is Saturday! It isn’t even 9 am yet! I know they are trying to beat the heat, but come on your lawn can wait until next week. I’m very unhappy with these neighbors this goes on the list.

Aaaaaand there is the anxiety attack I knew was there somewhere deep inside. Not my worst PTSD spiral for sure, but right now I am wide awake and jumpy. Time to turn on some peddle peddle, aka Tour de France, and hope I will fall asleep once my mind settles.
