Absolutely exquisite, I literally gasped.
This summer I will be supporting the Mongolian Olympic team because this is their uniform and it is a thousand times better than anything Nike has ever made.

Now knitting: I wanted an eyelet-y bolero so I'm doing a practice one in a weird colour from this skein I inherited - the pic makes it look weirder but in person it's a cinnamon colour, a bit darker. Gonna try and make a little shrug/bolero to wear in the fall.
I'm dying to crochet a bolero for myself but I'm too much of a beginner yet so I'm going to see if I can knit something this weekend to tide me over until I can make something more elaborate with crochet.

The crows and fledglings came to the back trees this morning when I was out with Emmybel and said hello - they waited patiently! Then I went and got them some kibble, eggshells, and peanuts. Seems each year the fledgings are encouraged to come here by their parents - now there's a whole clan here.

A cool thing about trilobites is that they survived from the Early Cambrian until recently, only about 250 million years ago, about 260 million years. They lived 4 times longer than the time between the dinosaurs and us.

I, too, prefer fishing to fighting. I'm the opposite of a viking, I don't wanna bother anyone or take their stuff. I don't even want to fish, I just want to nap.

I know it's cheesy but my dad's family is entirely from the Hebrides/Orkneys and I would love to have tattoos of the Pictish bestiary, especially the bird people.

New light on Britain's long migration history: “This suggests...a...history of very effective land management in Orkney, an increased focus on fishing, which along with evidence for good Pictish-Viking relations in the Orcadian Islands, likely contributed to a much healthier and vibrant community."

There's a funny thing with genAI evangelists where the more desperately they claim how creative it is making them, how much more productive they are with it, the sadder and more pathetic their lives are revealed to be.
