é bizarro! biden já deu três entrevistas com falas pedindo união, paz etc. o trump só posa de herói, depois de anos incitando violência de sua militância. e o que faz o jornalismo? imagina um trump completamente fantasioso para louvá-lo. a gente tá vivendo o the walking dead da democracia.

Biden has done 3 live tv appearences related to the shooting since where he calls for unity. Trump has disappeared and done nothing. The resulting press coverage is covering an imaginary version of Trump as if he had said unity stuff. Like literally they are making up a fake guy to praise.

yep, it's not the tech people are upset about. It's the unchecked corporate power, corruption, and lack of ethics obviously apparent in the entirely hype based (and often profoundly racist, sexist, and transphobic) VC extraction class

I’m as big a tech enthusiast as you’ll find. But like Anil, I try to call the bad stuff out (Apple & right to repair; Adobe pricing; the mass deletion of history; Google & AI results). Let’s be clear: It’s not a techlash. It’s a corplash, specifically for companies that fail the public.

Que os MAGA vão usar esse episódio pra TUDO - já tão querendo limpar a barra de jan/6 até - ng duvida. Que isso lhes dará vantagem tb. Agora, tenho real dificuldade de achar que muita gente que já não votaria no Trump vai fazê-lo agora por vê-lo como mártir dos 'liberais'. Butler não é Juiz de Fora.

Just to tamp this down a little on day two: It's entirely possible that this could give Trump a boost, even a big one. But the idea that as a result of yesterday the election is over and Trump is a lock is just silliness. My skeet below was an off-the-cuff way of indicating that.
