"The question of children ultimately transcends politics." This after a paragraph talking about how Dobbs has made many women NOT want to have kids. There's a crap ton of politics between "I think I want a baby" and then actually raising a kid, but that's blithely ignored.

The whole point of social conservatism seems to be to make sure everybody is as miserable as you are.

Recently somebody asked me for advice for new showrunners, and it's the same for all screenwriters, so here: 1) Learn the difference between a challenge and a warning. 2) Nobody gets smarter after 10pm. 3) Keep contemporaneous notes. 4) Never hit "Reply All", always start a new email chain.

I just want to thank bsky for telling me about the two male humpback whales having sex so I could share it with on the team meeting this week in the "This week I learned" section. My boss then said, "So this was considered newsworthy?" Yes, J, yes it was. It made NBC news!

Dave McCarty is emotionally abusive, generally manipulative, and has sexually harassed myself and numerous others. I’ve spoken openly about this and made CoC complaints when possible. He is not a missing stair, he is a creepy handyman who has been using his previous community service as a shield.

*sigh* People now keep messaging me to offer the actual details. I don't care about the actual details. The point is that the warnings about abusers only going out on the whisper network and private conversations is the fucking problem.

Say we took Pride and Prejudice, but Elizabeth was a transman who went by Ewan and got his documents updated accordingly, so when the father died and the cousin expected the inheritance, Ewan won in court. Instead of being a "woke" retelling, it actually happened. Bonus baronetcy included.
