if your basic assumption is that Harris is ~ as good a candidate as Biden given a smooth transition, I agree with that. If you think the correct move is therefore a semipublic pressure campaign on Biden to provide a smooth transition, I think you haven’t thought that through.

99 percent of children's social media posts about their teachers are not exposing injustice or systemic issues with their schools.

Social media has also been a powerful tool for students to expose racism at their schools. Adults don’t have an excellent track record dealing with young people.

Power is a little bit subjective here. Kids have a new tool to have some degree of influence over adults but adults still have like, 98% of the power.

kids have more power now because of the Internet

Biden is not owed good press by a long shot. But the amount of coverage his age is receiving relative to that of Trump's very real past and promised future actions strikes me as one of the greatest media mis-prioritizations since the run-up to the Iraq War.
