Makes no sense. Doomers are the people insisting that you shouldn’t bother with precautions because “everyone will get sick and most people probably won’t die”

Covid aware people are engaging in ongoing acts of radical hope. They are doggedly fighting to protect their own health, the health of vulnerable groups, and the overall functioning of society They do this despite shaming, mask bans, social cost, financial cost, etc. That’s surely not doomerism.

When it rolled in here, i was extremely surprised we weren’t at least in a tornado watch if not warning. The trees were being thrashed around violently. I tried to get a video but couldn’t through the window & wasn’t going outside.

Protip: for any cis people who don’t already know, the phrase “this person” is an extremely obvious way transhobes often degender and/or misgender trans people. you should generally not use that phrasing. especially if you are criticizing someone who happens to be trans.
