It’s so funny that the people who like your posts on Bluesky are either WeedGamerxxx or a professor who is also director of public policy at a thinktank
I'm constantly amazed when i look at a like or follow and it's a serious person who does serious work in real life. I always expect my likes to be from DoucheKnuckleBudzz069, so when one turns out to be a professor of election law or physics at some university, I'm always pleased but vv stunned.
All of the likes for this post appear to be proving the point. Some far more interesting and accomplished people than myself. I decided to follow each and every one of them without looking beyond their bios. (Normally, i go deep into a person's feed before deciding to smash that follow button.)
Also DoucheKnuckleBudzz069 sometimes quietly chimes in with a reply or makes a thread that exhibits, like, deep knowledge and years of experience and profound insight in a highly specific subject area.
That one time something I skeeted got popular among socioeconomic professors at ivies and I was sitting here like “…. I also write pornographic fanfic about pirates, so, uh…”
A thread full of professors, think tank directors, subject-matter lawyers, and myself is one of the most disorienting yet weirdly affirming experiences an autodidact can experience in life.
