I write and podcast about the NFL. I've never been owned online (see bio). I did the "enemy speak kindly and holds a knife" tweet. I write about bad faith politics here: https://bad-faith-times.ghost.io/
Aside from an antiquated methodology conducting polls, they focus far too much on nationally generalized samples rather than smaller regional samples.
I'm also insistent that the massive area polling doesn't account for is COVID death disparity from 2020-now. Lotta GOP boomers are polling 6ft under
far right parties are often so unpopular that polling doesn’t seem to capture the true public sentiment. reminds me of the “red wave” nonsense in the 2022 midterms.
bad luck for biden to run in an electoral cycle where "are you old" is the most important issue instead of in one of the cycles where email security procedures or accuracy of vietnam war medal citations was the most important issue in the country.
In Greece they make the bottle caps so they don’t come off, violating my right as an American to immediately lose the cap and pollute the beach.
I will be taking this issue all the way to the EU.
Sulzberger and the New York Times political desk are engaged in an interesting experiment, to wit: whether it’s possible for a newspaper to direct the outcome of a campaign and election through sheer, relentless posting

I’ve never really been able to listen to Floyd songs on their own. They’re best in the context of the album. Often they’re cut off on the radio, which drives me insane.
Depending on the day and which one I am currently playing, their greatest album is either Meddle, Animals, or this one. With Pink Floyd, rarely do you seek out a song to listen to. You grab an album and start at the beginning.
Animals is among the most interesting political albums of the 70s. Finally Floyd wasn’t too cool for politics. Same with Bowie and Scary Monsters (and Lodger).
Bowie really was too cool/above politics for a long time. Lodger is such a refreshing left political coming of age for him after his dalliance with fascism.
