It's important to note that in France, yes, a fascist majority was prevented, but they still doubled their presence in parliament. The fascists didn't stay home. They went & voted. It's just that enough decent people showed up to beat them back to a significant degree (& make them cry). SHOW UP.

No joke here (sorry): Homelessness in Finland is very low because they provide small apartments and mental health support without any conditions attached to it. 80% of those who use it get jobs , gain stable housing, and sobriety But thanks for the plastic trash can in NYC, Mayor Adams

i think a lot about the sacrifeces people in ww2 made in the u.s. (not to compare this to the sacrifeces in europe which were obviously way greater) my mom (b.1940) told me a story about one of her earliest memories of rationing. they only had one bananna for their ration so my grandmother....

i was lucky enough to go to a signing for monstrous regiment. TP gave a 2 hour talk that didn't feel rehearsed i think he just winged it each night. Then i got to spend all of 15-20 seconds with the man himself and he really put himself into those seconds for each person. the man was a treasure.
