“They want to eliminate national parks” is a very simple way to get just about anyone on the Stop Project 2025 train. Are there much more glaring and life-threatening goals of P25? Yes but even your most bigoted cousin does not want to see the parks system sold for parts.

Kevin stepped on the remote & paused the TV on the Temptations commercial where the cat knocks the food the owner served off the table. Unfortunately I don't know if he meant, "This is the best show. This cat is a really good actor," or "This sort of content is offensive to my people. Destroy it."

It's also wildly inaccurate. Plenty of the base of white christian nationalism is in wealthy suburbs and, yes, cities too. Stop buying this "barefoot hicks" b.s. and realize the fascists are down the street shopping at whole foods.

It's incredibly easy for "here's this extra bit of nuance for onlookers to consider" to come across as "This is wrong *because* of this nuance" or "you haven't considered this" if you're not explicitly agreeing (especially with online discourse making confrontation equally or more likely)

Tapping again on the sign that says if you want to interject with commentary or elaboration on something you agree with, but let the agreement go without saying, you risk your reply being indistinguishable from an argument. "Yes, and." Doesn't have to be those words, but make your intentions clear.

Please note the wildly incorrect polling in France. No matter what the cacophony of pundits keep saying, polls are not predictive, and are never the end of the story. Organizing, volunteering, engaging in conversation, and direct action are effective tools. Let's use them here too.

The fact that people think they know a celebrity enough from social media to defend them against any kind of allegations is wild to me. We *barely* know the people we know in real life. Chances are, someone you know, like, & trust is a sociopath. You have no idea who your fave really is.

I really enjoy how my emails from the Romancing the Vote auction begin with, "Hello, friend of voting rights!" Just makes me feel good when I see it.
