my grandpa was the best, kindest man I've ever known and I am lucky enough to be named for him (my middle name is Emilia, his name was Emilio) :)

my grandpa passed in 2009 but during his lifetime he helped found an orphanage in Piedras Negras, Coahuila and every year my family would spend a weekend diligently sorting, portioning and packing up bulk food that he would then drive down and give to the sisters at the orphanage

my variously-southern ancestor Harriet Dixon who married a guy with the last name Mason is the funniest woman who ever lived

my Mexican family from Coahuila circa 1870 who named all 12 of their daughters "Maria Middlename" watching me try to figure out their family tree 150 years later

I need a streamer that only has movies released between 1980 and 1999. I am not in a mental or emotional place to handle the world being on fire without being able to watch a movie I saw on HBO a dozen times.

last week a family came in like, preemptively mad and asked if we buried someone in their lot and added their name to the stone bc they had never seen the name and none of them recognized it, and clearly implied we had done something untoward and then it turned out it was just their grandma's uncle
