Trying to book something (hotel if not too expensive but also airbnb) in montreal for next month. I'm creeped out by the airbnb "hosts" with >20 listings but that seems common? What's going on?

Progressive values and Democrats are not responsible for this violence. There is no both sides here. Violent rhetoric is the bread and butter of modern extreme conservatism. And lax gun laws put a semiautomatic rifle in the hands of a gunman.

Please don’t “both sides” the “violent political rhetoric” conversation when one side regularly glorifies and intimidates with guns and the other side speaks out to end gun violence. These are not the same.

If it’s not helpful to you, by all means ignore this, but I’m just saying… It really helps me to recenter myself to think “Oh right. The worst fucking people on the planet want me to feel like we’re doomed. Fuck those guys, actually.”

from now until Election Day, we connect every story back to Project 2025 Eg: The FBI is currently investigating the Trump shooter. But did you know that Project 2025 will place the FBI under Trump’s direct control, so he can decide which acts of political violence get investigated, and which don’t?

Senate Dems should take one of their assorted gun control bills off the shelf, rename it something like "Trump Assassination Prevention Act," and force Rs to do a talking filibuster to block it

“We’re the party with a base of violent freaks who dress and act like mass shooters, who we also have legally enabled to carry AR-15s with them everywhere they go - and you’re telling us that this makes it real hard for us to catch genuine assassins?”
Wow, seems like there’s some inherent security issues with having a political base of supporters made up out of crazy people who dress in camo and open-carry rifles everywhere

Clarence Thomas took $267,000 from a health insurance executive, then issued rulings that made health insurance companies more money, while harming millions of Americans. This is a bribe. This isn’t complicated. Expand the Supreme Court.

My consulting firm specializes in training scientists how to talk to the public including writing op-Ed’s. I will waive my fee for any who can’t pay, and will happily review any draft op Ed’s or op Ed pitches about this.
Junior Scholars: Project 2025 is now breaking through to public consciousness. The more people learn about it, the more they hate it. Now is a great time to search that website, go to the section of your expertise, and write an oped. Keep the drip of bad news for them coming, all the way to Nov.

Remarkable finding in new Marist poll: By 68-32, voters say they're more concerned about a president who doesn't tell the truth than one who is too old to serve. Maybe we should cover Trump's serial lying as a sign of his unfitness for the presidency. 1/ (new piece) newrepublic.com/article/1837...
Shocker Poll Suggests Trump’s Lying May Be Huge Weakness for Himnewrepublic.com One possible reason the polls haven’t moved as much as pundits expected: Voters still don’t like or trust Trump. Can the Democrats shift focus to that?

billionaire wealth in the US hit 6 trillion today, an all time high, and that’s double what it was before trump-gop passed their tax bill in 2017 that accelerated the rich getting absurdly insanely richer
