My kids unspooled and then stacked the toilet paper in strips in the basket we keep on top of the tank for holding the full rolls. It’s got an artisanal feel, like homemade pappardelle. Very classy.

Inside Out 2 was great, and only 2/3 as traumatic for an adult as Inside Out.

Either these accusations will turn out to be unfounded and Neil Gaiman is a literary treasure, or they’ll turn out to be true and the signs were there in his garbage work all along.

Some people may try to tell you voting doesn’t matter, but if just two people had voted the other way Trump wouldn’t be immune to criminal prosecution.

The best thing I can say about this is that publishing anti-voting op ed on July 4 is less offensive outrage bait than an anti-emancipation op ed on Juneteenth. www.nytimes.com/2024/07/04/o...

To regain the confidence of the electorate, it’s not enough for Biden to complete an Ironman. He also must place in the top ten.

LawSky con law folks: where does Trump v. U.S. rank in your list of all-time worst Supreme Court decisions?

his lawyer argued as much in front of the court its absurd for Roberts to say that the dissenters are being dramatic when this is the verbatim quote from the defense with regards to using the military to assassinate a political rival

There's no legal basis for any of it. No constitutional text, no original public meaning, not even any reasonable basis in past precedents or having been validated by practice and acquiescence. Penumbras and emanations would be too kind. They just made it up and scarcely even pretended otherwise.

1/ Let me explain one way that today's Trump immunity decision threatens the survival of the Republic. Under today's ruling, a President would be immune for any way in which he used the military (a "core function"), even to kill American citizens in America. Theoretically, the soldiers who . . .

Well, sir, we've run the numbers and you're just not gonna be able to get out of this one. You need to pick a crime, sir, and you need to do it soon. Now, we put together some options. Would u like to start with war crimes or personal grievances? War crimes do play better in the flyovers, yes, sir.

“You’re a lawyer! What does this mean, really?” Man, I don’t fucking know. In the last week an entire area of law I studied was more or less rendered entirely moot and now there’s one specific guy in the whole country who may be able to do anything he wants without recourse. This is kind of new.

They’re awful, but predictably awful.
It’s going to be a subtle rule the courts will need to apply to Trump’s charges and that will require appeal. Which is why they timed it to be last.

Homeless people can be arrested for sleeping, Presidents cannot be arrested for rampant graft and corruption done while in office. There is no clearer a summary of "conservative 'law and order'" than this.

I'm going to atom bomb spring conlaw. seriously considering going full anticanon and having the syllabus start with johnson v. mcintosh, prigg, dred scott, plessy, the chinese exclusion case, lochner, and korematsu, and then jumping straight from there to the roberts court's last 3 terms
