March 23 1933, the Enabling Act becomes law in Germany, giving the chief executive power enforce his own laws without checks and balances. The passing of the Act marked the formal transition from democratic republic to totalitarian dictatorship. 6 months later, it was a 1 party state.

1/Writer's block is, 90% of the time, your subconscious holding you back because you've taken a wrong turn. Go back to the last place the story was really working and try taking a left turn or two, see what happens. It costs you nothing and can really limber you up.

Strange how some things remind you of completely unrelated things. When I pass a Shell station, I remember the color coded reading cards we had in my second grade class (where I first learned the color 'aqua'.) No connection that I can discern but it's happened multiple times.

One of the best lines in the original SW, now ruined by add-on media, was "Years ago, you served my father in the Clone Wars", and NO ONE STOPPED TO EXPLAIN TO EACH OTHER WHAT THAT MEANT. It made the universe feel REAL. It had a past, and people who lived in it had shared knowledge of it. 1/2

The worse the original screenplay was the more room fan fiction can ignore canon so Star Wars is fanfic gold.

Didn’t go to my 40th high school reunion last night. I looked at the pictures and I was cool with it. There was only 1 person there I would have enjoyed talking to. The rest blather on about how everyone is welcome but I can’t get over the memories of how they treated me.

I just had a work epiphany. My boss can't understand why I want to upgrade firmware on a device. When you have 4 related devices together & 3 of them are on one firmware & the last one is on a lower release, it makes sense to me to make them match when they work together. I think it's him not me.
