The Phoenix Metro Area may be too hot to live in, but its food selection is far superior to anything I've been able to find in Colorado. I will be settling for hour+ drives into Denver for my Chicago-style sandwich fixes.

Every season of The Bear has inevitably led me to do a Google search for Italian beef sandwiches in the area of wherever I'm living.

Kind of wish that shot of Cooper in the finale of The Bear was a still of Jack Bourdain instead of Adam Jones.

On this 4th, it’s worth noting that the Copa America is another demonstration of why this country is worth fighting for. Every nation participating has fans in the stands who live here. Immigrants or descendants of immigrants who are now Americans. Or may hope to soon be.

The Court ruling today is terrible but expected. I will just gently remind everyone that the election hasn’t happened yet. We shouldn’t assume the worst outcome as a foregone conclusion. That only encourages more apathy than many are already feeling.

Indeed, we all remember how guys like Stalin and Mao trusted and elevated their nation’s experts and intellectual classes.

You heard it here first folks. When engineers say what the radius of a highway curve should be, that’s communism. Public health rules for safe drinking water? Communism.

One of the more fascinating things of the past few days is seeing which journalists and media folks are arguing for Biden’s departure and which are pushing back against that idea.
