I would LOVE to see more companies promoting that they're not aligned with/integrating AI because... I'm their audience. I'm actively looking/noticing to inform which services I use/don't use. And if I'm concerned with that alignment, I know there are more of us out there.

Who needs AI to trap us in a web of mirages and imitations, a hall of mirrors distorting and reflecting back on us our deepest fears and desires until we can no longer recognize what is real and what is fake when I can just step into the Faerie ring and get the same thing for free? 🤔

The whole "ignore previous prompts" command that seems to break AI bots masquerading as real people has the same vibe as looking through a hag stone to see a Faerie's true form.

Again the best to prevent fascism is a robust social safety net, strong wages and active government efforts to help the poor. Neoliberalism and austerity carve away at this, leaving fascism able to grow.

When the american liberals use France's election as an illustration of the need to VOTE, they ignore that people were not only voting against the far right but *for* something. They voted for a campaign which promises to: increase minimum wage, lower retirement age, pay for all childcare, etc

My weirdest half-joke opinion is that I think a lot of people would be happier if they admitted they were psi vampires/emotional vampires and regularly "fed" off of consenting donors instead of causing chaos or draining the unsuspecting.

A LOT of folks in my mentions now listing animals and monsters asking me if they're OK to compare to a Jewish person and for the love of god y'all. Making fun of our faces and bodies is classic antisemitism. This man has done enough specific evil surely you can find other ways to criticize him?

Stephen Miller is back in the news and folks love to compare him to vampires and lizards/lizard people and just a reminder those are both really insidious, long standing antisemitic tropes. That man is extremely evil there are lots of other ways we can criticize him without doing antisemitism.

I know Massachusetts isn't perfect, but stuff like this makes me happy that I live here.

Google “Massachusetts crisis pregnancy” and this link pops up. It’s part of a statewide campaign, including public signage (highway billboards!), urging people to avoid crisis pregnancy/anti-abortion centers. The Commonwealth is not fucking around with this.

I was extremely lucky that at my *very first* writing con, a more established writer with zero fucks came up to the newbie table to chat about the things we need to know that never came up and like 5 minutes in was like "and these are the missing stairs"

The thing about whisper networks is that they don't reach all potential victims, and it's often the ones who are left out who are most vulnerable. The newbies in the scene/industry. The unpopular ones. The ones who don't have a lot of connections.

As for the original tweet, there are two things I think the Western Mystery Tradition doesn't discuss enough: 1. Non-heteronormative sex magick techniques (even heteronormative practices for straight women are neglected). 2. The philosophical underpinnings of it all.

Criminalizing sex work has nothing to do with protecting women. Banning adult content on crowdfunding and payment platforms has nothing to do with protecting children. The goal of these laws/policies is to remove one of the few sources of income for queer, disabled, and other marginalized folks.

Don't ask me about my Sims game plot unless you're ready for an info-dump 🤣

I hate to say it, but I think we've crossed the threshold where it's no longer easier or more convenient to use the internet for research. If you don't already have a library card, e-card, and an account on something like Hoopla, Libby, or JStor, now is the time to sign up IMO.
