I ride my bike on the street where I witness terrorist drivers

I'm surrounded by cycle paths

Currently fascinated by the fourth transformation of the public life of Mexico

riding my bike yesterday and hit a top speed of 27mph. pure joy as I was moving through the wind at what felt like mach speed bikes contextualize speed. when you know what 25mph really feels like you understand that driving a car within city limits in excess of 25mph is pure madness yeah #fuckcars
Driving should be difficult. When driving is made easy, people break and die
we should make drivers do whacky out of the way shit to get to their destination instead of cyclists and pedestrians. they're literally in a rolling living room and we're giving them all the ways to go wherever they want. fuck that shit.

just saying, crowd gathering and smashing headlamps of speeders like chennai residents used to do in the 70s is also on the table if you want it
There are three ways to deal with routine traffic law violations: A) Leave discretion to enforce the law in the hands of actual existing police officers B) Set up cameras and do automated enforcement C) Just don't enforce the law Option B is the one that gets you the fewest senseless deaths.

You can call this cynical but it’s objectively true. Violent crimes committed with cars are treated, a-priori, as less severe in the US. That there are thousands of drivers on the road who routinely commit assault, and even murder, without suspension of license, let alone prison, is insane.
Tiny cars are cool but if you drove one of these things in the US or Canada you would be hate crimed instantly by an F150

sure wish rain didn’t turn drivers into complete psychopaths

do they know that if you die while it’s raining you die in real life

Today I watched a crow standing in the middle of a busy highway trying to cause accidents. At first I thought: coincidence. But I was sitting at a red light and had a few moments to watch. I’m now convinced this bird was deliberately fucking with drivers in an attempt to sow chaos. Crows are great.
Demons possess the driver who willingly surrenders to it.
a car is just a shit civilian mech suit slowly sending the pilot insane. don't at me
Drivers need to feel how detested they are. Don't forget to let them know
My tolerance for people who carelessly noise-pollute shared public spaces is gone. Like completely gone. These people are violent terrorists.

"there was an accident" prompts a response of "that's unfortunate" whereas "there was a collision" inherently prompts "what happened?" in aviation, there's an investigation into every crash to make sure it never happens again. with cars, there's repetitive identical death because it's "accidental".

As someone who was hit by a car and left with a permanent physical disability I very much endorse this message. It wasn't a fucking accident.
a position i've really come to appreciate recently with regards to transit equity is that there is no such thing as an accident and the word should never be used. for a while i felt like it was minor quibbling, but the word is a convenient way of ignoring the decisions that propagate inequal harm.

It is really fucked up that we made driving the main mode of transportation in 90% of the country as an actual political choice when there are large populations of people everywhere who can’t or shouldn’t drive

A war on cars is long overdue in my opinion. 😒
Yes, people really refer to “a war on cars” when any other transportation option gets the slightest bit of attention. @thewaroncars.bsky.social War on cars? Why San Francisco drivers say they feel under siege - San Francisco Chronicle www.sfchronicle.com/sf/article/s...

Pull the car of ideology into the garage of my mind palace. Now pull another one in there. Crash a third one into that one’s rear. See what happens when you try a fourth one. Keep em coming

Guy who gets mad at you for making him up
Drivers should think twice before going out in their vehicles. They should be watched by everyone and if they do choose violence, as is their demonic wont, there should be mass intervention against them from all witnesses. There is no justice otherwise
idec about urbanism i just want motorists to be inconvenienced

it’s kind of good that it was cold and rainy for the ride of silence because I absolutely got emotional ❤️ every cyclist death caused by a motor vehicle is preventable
FYI for the Philly folks: tonight is the Ride of Silence to honor cyclists injured or killed by motor vehicles and to advocate for safer roads. we start at City Hall at 6:30pm tonight. I hope to see you there!
