I'll repeat what I wrote in my book. People going after others should ask themselves: Am I going after the appropriate entity or the *available target*? A LOT of latter goes on. But cruelty laterally/downward does nothing to the entity that created a situation &ensures creation of a truly awful vibe

I think a lot of people get into a bad space here because the people with power they actually want to yell at would never in a million years be on Bluesky so we end up yelling at people who aren’t that bad and it makes everyone pissy and weird

In 2016, one of the attack lines was "if hillary is elected there'll be a taco truck on every corner" If they run against Kamala i hope they update it to "if kamala is elected there will be oxtails on every corner" Or some sort of Jamaican/Indian fusion- that could be amazing. Now i'm hungry.

I just finished @okokno.bsky.social ’s “Midnight Rooms.” It’s a gothic fantasy filled with uncomfortable dreams, howling foxes, and the forest taking all. It’s deeply creepy and absorbing. Perfect book to read in the bath surrounded by candles with a glass of red wine. 📚👀

To all the abled folks that use the phrase “wheelchair bound” this is a beautiful example of why we in the disability community do not use those words. Accessibility devices are tools of freedom!!!

just took my new wheelchair for a spin around the block w/ my dog (something i could never even dream of doing before) & i am tearing up at how much joy it brought me. it's incredible how just by having access to the right mobility aids, i already feel so much less depressed.
