i refuse to believe that americans who watched the debate think that biden’s first 15 minutes are somehow stronger evidence of old age decline than falling asleep, *in public*, DURING YOUR OWN FUCKING CRIMINAL TRIAL, *IN COURT IN FRONT OF THE JUDGE AND JURY*, but, you know, i’m not a columnist.

Trump’s public schedule showed that on most days, he worked (“worked”), like three hours a day. And this isn’t even a “Biden can’t work late at night” issue. It’s a Biden is pulling back on SCHEDULED EVENTS that start after 8pm, which is actually a good idea for most people.

Molly hasn't forgotten what happened last night.

Fuckers are setting off the very illegal big fireworks about 30 feet from my house. They're so loud that I feel my floor vibrate when they go off. Molly is hiding under the bed.

this is a brilliant point that I was struggling to articulate.

Speaking as a semanticist, it's wild to me that they are phrasing it in terms of whether an *act* is characterized as "official", when what they seem to actually be talking about is whether there exists a *description* of the act that can be characterized as "official".

OK on a day like today I think we all need to read my absolute favorite judicial opinion ever as a palate cleanser.

There are two elements to the immunity decision that are particularly extreme in a way that many will miss: (1) motive is irrelevant and (2) immune acts are not just excluded from prosecution, they’re excluded from evidence. /1

I just made this same analogy to my spouse, except I used "god king" and "demi-god philosopher kings".
